Hockey is so weird. How do you explain game 6 sandwiched between game 5 and tonight?

I know, watching game six Florida looks so pathetic on offense. I was thinking coming into tonight‘s game. How are they gonna turn that around? They just looked so bad.

it was mentioned to me that the laffs can't play at home. cant take the pressure.

This is what a Toronto fan thinks of their homegrown star

“Mitch Marner is a Toronto kid who should have had a banner hanging in the rafters and his name all over the Leafs’ record books.

Instead, he squeezed the organization for every last cent, never showed up when it mattered, and got booed off the ice in his final game as a Leaf.”

i’ve already seen today a few fan bases, wanting to know what it would take to get him and some of them were their in Ottawa

Eww, no thank you.  Who wants to to voluntarily mess up their team chemistry with someone entitled enough to say "We are looked upon as gods here, to be honest...."

Agree 1,000,000,000%. Just saw on Twitter, the funniest comparison. Since 2005 the year of the lockout of the NHL players, the Buffalo Sabres have won four playoff series and the Toronto Maple Leafs have won 2. Buffalo hasn’t made the playoffs in 14 years

One thing is for sure: these Leafs are not pesky at all.

I am mixed between being entertained by today's post-mortem YouTube videos and feeling empathy for the Leafs fans.  I feel more sorry for Winnipeg fans though.

Before the playoffs started, one the TSN guys commented that the lafs were not a team built for the playoffs and unless their goal tending was exceptional, they could be out in the first or second round. It's hard to win playoff games by trying to out score your opponent 6-5 every game.

Now it’s 2–0, Toronto. Looks like a game seven coming up in Toronto.

just means they will be crushed once again after being given hope. soul destroying.

Would be very pleased to see that

Stick to the face to one of the officials on the ice, that is never good to see. Hopefully it got him above the eye. I hope it did not get him in the eye.

fun fact: in 10 playoff games vs the panthers, matthews has 0 goals. In a little over 9 mins, Robertson has 1 goal.

Auston Matthews is not in any way shape or form a clutch player, i’ve only pulled for him once in my life in the gold medal game in the 4 nations and he had a chance to win that game and he just couldn’t get it done. He had a clean shot. it will be a damn shame if they don’t get past the second round won’t it? 🤣🤣🤣

I really hate when I do that but this time Russell joined me. He started it
