Every team seems pretty convinced Ottawa dives a lot. Im not totally convinced they are wrong.
I **really** think people forget how instinctive it is to flinch when's something's flying toward your face or how easy it is to lose your balance when your momentum is interrupted. Or, like the other night, that even with a cup, turning hockey from a puck sport to a ball sport is gonna get a primal, lizard brain reaction.
I had zero problem with someone clamping their arm down on a stick to get ah holding call. I mean, obviously the stick was there at some point, nothing wrong with keeping it their until a zebra notices.
The cup one gets a pass every time.
I obviously don't have first-hand experience but I'm assuming a cup does not make one invincible and completely numb to impact?
It’s like Eddie Murphy said: you just have to graze nuts.
