Joseph is so lucky. He was looking at 5 minuet major and a suspension, ending up being a minor, and the wings getting the 5.

I think the 5 initially called was always against Perron, which was called before the play review.

Refs clearly saw that one, but no one knew what happened to Perron. Even after seeing the replay a dozen times, still couldn't quite figure it out until it was analyzed in the intermission.

Joseph and Kelly both got roughing penalties against Larkin.

I know it's not funny that Larkin was injured, but would that be a roughing sandwich.

That whole play was just weird.  Didn't look like anything and then a guy is face down on the ice and not moving.

I don't think either of those are called roughing if there's not a limp body on the ice.

Even if it *was* some kind of Vulcan nerve pinch…how did it happen so fast? He was sandwiched between two gloves for a couple seconds but that doesn't seem like it should have been enough to knock his out.

might have been a chin connecting with Kelly's glove in the sandwich collision.  Glove wasn't high, it was Larkin's head coming forward and downward into the oncoming Kelly.

Yeah, if he doesn't get knocked out, there's no penalty on the play.  Wouldn't exactly call it a ref suck.  More of game management so things don't get out of hand.

Maybe low-level suck (just commentary not bingo dabs) because they're punishing the outcome. the NHL is *terrible* at that.

That would have been absolutely ridiculous to give Joseph a major, let alone a suspension, on that. Don't punish the outcome.

Ok, reviewing my bingo card as there was lots happening in the 1st.

I had forgotten to dab AYKM save by Korpisalo for that save on a 2-0 break.

I have a bingo.

This could cause trouble at some point in this thread.

Checked their Facebook, said they close at 6. Went out, in the freezing rain, with the dog, at 5:15…they were closed.

They close at 5 and haven't updated FB since the summer. evileye
