Oh, OH, that big bonus at work? Vendor didn't pay this month! The bastards!
So now we wait another month, and I'll have to check the status during my PTO.
Pain in the ass.
I had a fun couple of days at work.... told some people on the team that we are all busy, and it's not my responsibility to do their jobs just because they don't know what to do..... then had to have a meeting with the boss because they were accusing me of "not being collaborative"
Oohhhhhhh, I am SORRY your boss doesn't have your back in that situation! I've come to blows with the Ops Director in the last couple days because I'm doing a job she used to do and I have an infinitely better understanding of it than her but she thinks I *must* be wrong because I've been doing it officially for less than a year. It's frustrating to deal with her but my boss 100% has my back and that helps immensely.
I'm DYING to tell her there's a reason I took over the task from the person she trained…literally "a million rea$son$".
Actually, the boss was really good when I explained my side of the story. Said he thought it was an odd thing for someone to say about me, and that he agreed that I was right in saying no in this case.
But.... it's pushing me more towards the "I can't stay at this job again" decision. Blah.
Whew, okay, that's at least something. But, oof, on moving you back to that decision.
