The inaction and ineptitude by the police isn't helping

weekend 1: completely unprepared, cops just standing around doing nothing

weekdays: estimated count was about 250 people and some 50 trucks. Police did nothing, and let those who stayed behind setup bases of operation stock piling propane tanks and diesel.  This was the time to get control, but they didn't. more cops just standing around doing nothing as they moved jerry cans of diesel on carts all over downtown. 

Weekend 2: more came back, more standing around doing nothing.  

Finally Sunday night they did confiscate all the fuel at one of the command centers (which was the parking lot of the city's baseball stadium).  

OPS announced this on Sunday, 9 days after this all started. "IMPORTANT: Anyone attempting to bring material supports (gas, etc.) to the demonstrators could be subject to arrest. Enforcement is underway. "

Finally got an appointment to get an ultrasound on my hand.... on the 23rd. So 2 1/2 more weeks to just to get the test, then a few days to get results in the HOPE that this one tells us what is wrong. UGH

 pretty much plateaued.  Every time I start to think it's getting better, I do something (like vacuuming the stairs this weekend), and I'm reminded that nope, my hand is still messed up

A brace was the only thing that slowed me down...and even then I'd try using my fingers anyway and tweaking my hand in ways not normal by trying to work *around* the brace. I forget what it was but I did something to my arm and/or hand a few years ago...I straight up made a make-shift sling and tied my arm down.

 If only there weren't all those pesky adulting tasks like cooking and cleaning to deal with...

 I lost the use of my non-dominant hand in grad school...I dropped my course load by 50% because adulting took 2x or 3x as long.

And...apparently I missed a few things when my boss just called.
