It was -27 / -38 wind chill this morning. It's -23 / -27 now.

 -19/-26 here right now

Also.... damn.

 Holy hell!

And it's supposed to warm up just enough tomorrow for a major snowstorm to roll through on Monday.  Fun times.

Since I have zero frame of reference...are these negative numbers in the teens and twenties normal??

Well, crap.

Yes and no.  It's been a weirdly warm winter this year, but this is the second time in a week we've had this kind of temperatures.

In a normal winter, yeah, we get stretches of low teens and into the -20s.

Cathy, this is Celsius too. So it looks way colder than we are used to

Oh no, I did the math! I am suitably shocked.

The Canal opened up for skating on Friday and many people were out there. If skating south bound it wouldn't have been too bad.  North  bound? not as much fun.

Gone through a lot of fire wood today

Really stupid question, just remember that I'm born and raised in SoCal and I've never seen snow fall...

Wood burning stove as a home-heating device or literally just have a fire going in the fireplace all day?

keeps the lower level warm, doesn’t do much for upstairs when its this cold.

 Downstairs slumber party!

Have there been any breakaways? That Yamamoto goal?
