"It's unclear why the defenseman was removed from protocols Saturday before re-entering them once again, but he'll miss Saturday's game against Pittsburgh and possibly longer. Jacob Bernard-Docker enters the lineup to replace Zaitsev."
This is hard to keep up with!
It's definitely concerning. What the hell is going on???
The SN guys said something yesterday that was...odd. They said something about close contact being the reason players were going into protocol. 1) My understanding of the NHL policy is the protocol is positive test or symptoms. 2) If it *is* close contact, then WTH isn't the whole team in protocol.
It feels like there's a bit of winging it going on.
It's definitely not just close contact. I don't think these guys have any clue what is going on.
Saw a few post game clips of the dressing room when the DJ handed out the hardest worker of the game award, which this year is a bike helmet and sunglasses. None of the players were wearing masks in the dressing room that I saw. I think DJ was.
Yep, that's one of the weirdest parts of the NHL covid rules. Players don't have to mask in dressing rooms, but coaches do.
Jesus. 10 players in covid protocol, 5 injured. Who is actually left from our "regular" roster?
Isn't there a minimum number of regulars (NHL experienced) that are supposed to play in pre-season games? Tonight's line up might not be enough to play a pre-season game.
I think they would JUST squeak by. But this is ridiculous.
la merde deviendra réelle (did that translation work?) if/when a recent opponent has players go into protocol.
