So are we going to ask Darren Dreger now how he feels about it "as a dad"?
Not trying to go down a dark and decidedly unpleasant rabbit hole, but I think this topic is difficult for men to talk about because, regardless of what they say in public, I believe there's still a VERY strong current of, "Guys can't be assaulted/why didn't you just fight back" underneath the surface.
Yet that would have been a more poignant example of how the NHL got in this situation in the first place.
Yes!
Learned nothing from Graham James doing the same to young players. Wasn't NHL, but they should have learned that you don't just sweep it under the rug.
Doing a good job of covering this.... then Duthie has to ask Cheryl Pounder about her reaction "as a mom"
How about as a f-ing human being?!
That being said, I'm glad I'm *not* a mom who has to explain why cap circumvention is a harsher penalty and only "senior management" is responsible to speak up when bad things happen.
{go to your happy place, go to your happy place}
Toews's comments on that it's "not for him to comment on", sure had a lot to say about how good people Blackhawks management was and how he really respects them as people.
Yeah... honestly I'm struggling a bit right now with my response to this situation and how I feel about the league as a whole.
Statements from Bettman, Fehr, etc.... so many missed opportunities to as they say in hockey.... "do better"

Yep - just disappointing in the middle of the current ****storm that a question worded that way was on the broadcast. Now of all times is a time for being super careful about your language and predjudices
