early but deserved call. can't let the officiating gons show go on.

The SNET crew were making a big deal out of the fact that Sutherland and Furlatt are doing this game.   Probably hoping the experience will help prevent another mess.

I forget who was officiating the last game, but wonder if they'll be relegated to backup officials for the rest of the 3rd round and perhaps not ref in the finals. That was an embarrassment

There have been a LOT of bad screw-ups these playoffs.  For once the fans have legitimate reason to be complaining

 Exactly right, both of you

Really glad they changed the refs. When the refs become the story, something's wrong.

The only chance my card has is if Vegas dominates the game. This is not a good start.

 woohoo, a dab!

To be fair, I had all three options for shots in the 1st, so it was a guaranteed thing.

and now they are taking out linesmen. That's not pretty.

kinda surprised more officials and players don't wear the ear protector on their helmets. Reaction is to turn your head sideways when puck is heading towards your face leaving the ear exposed.

Habs get their 1st shot 8:44 into the 1st period and then score at 8:45 into the 1st period.

So.. Visiting team scores 1st.

 It was pretty though

It was a great speed and cut round the D play by Anderson forcing Fleury to fully commit to that save leaving him out of position for Kotkaniemi to tap it in.  Amazing or bad defensive coverage?

Yeah, I wouldn't call it amazing, maybe a shoulda had that?

yeah, maybe. Both d-men failed their coverage on that play.  So I'll buy it.

Dammi!  my card is out of stock of that square.

lol.  I don't have it either.

so here's a crazy thought.... are the refs doing this on purpose to protest what happened to Tim Peel?
