I have a more complex setup with a firewall and multiple subnets to isolate upstairs (wired work laptops, personal PC, NASes and printer) from rest of house (wifi and wired network that goes down to basement for nephew). 

I apply QOS rules to prioritize upstairs network over other one. Rogers TV box is outside of all that. 

Also have another isolated subnet for an Ark server, which I need to get working again. 

 

 Hahaha..... yeah, mine is not that complicated.  Last time I was having major issues with it during a game it turned out that one of my wifi points had gone offline, so that's always a complication as well.  But I'm in a small townhouse and it's just me, I'm either working, or I'm in the living room with the TV and laptop going most of the time these days.
