You guys getting the raw NBCSN feed? Also, how appropriate that he name gets censored.
Yep, full on NBCSN tonight. Not even the SNET guys for the intermission.
It's funny which games "they" decide will be a hijacked feed + custom intermission vs. completely hijacked. NHLN rarely does any IIHF themselves, just started doing USA games in the last few years. This is why I know the TSN studio team so well.
oh, and apparently you were right - Marc Methot is doing IIHF coverage. Saw that on the tweet machine.
Cool. I think the recent players-turned-broadcasters have been a much higher caliber than the previous generation. Great insights without the cringe.
I like the Olympics for sports I don't normally get to watch.
Women's Soccer because Canadian women can field a good team.
Women's Rugby was intense in 2016 with Canada getting the Bronze.
Swimming, Gymnastics, some Track & Field, plus whatever sport Canada is expected to do well.
Love seeing athletes break out like Penny Oleksiak did in swimming. Canadian women tend to kick ass at the Olympics.
NBC's coverage has turned me off from the Olympics over the years. Nothing is ever aired live, the event are broken up for primetime ratings. When I can find a live world feed without commentary, it's awesome. That being said, unlike you, I don't much diversify...I watch the same sports I watch the other three years of the quadrennial. LOL
Gymnastics, figure skating, hockey.
I have noticed that about NBC coverage. Canadian coverage is is great. If North American time zone, you'll have several channels broadcasting various sports all day long, then repeats in primetime. Often a partnership of a couple networks like of CBC, CTV, TSN, SportNet and their affiliate stations.
I've also booked time off work when it was in our time zone.
So...what are the reasons *not* to move to Canada?
