I was so confused when I moved to Alberta and they didn't have bagged milk. But it made my milk jug a fun party game of "can anyone guess what the purpose of this is?"
Or can you guess what the purpose of this is and what it's called (without reading it on it)
Does it snip a corner and you pour it into glass or plastic Containers
So.... you put the small bag inside a special pitcher that is designed to hold it. And then yeah, the snippit is for cutting off a corner so you can pour out the milk.
But the milk stays in the bag *in* the jug? Laws of physics would suggest an inverse relationship between ease of pouring and volume of milk.

Special jug and tool to snip the corner of the bag.
Wait!!! That’s a real thing? I thought Homer was kidding. I’d be like the lady in that video 🤣🤣
It's an Ontario thing.
Remember when they changed the size of the bags and everyone had to scramble to buy new jugs? Ah... memories
yeah, went from something like 3L total (3 bags) to 4L (still 3 bags). 4L is a gallon.
That was probably my favorite part of that video. She's walking down the street with it, and like "it's so heavy!".... ummm, yeah.... it's 4L of milk, of course it's heavy. lol
