Dryer update: Got the replacement belt today and installed it after work. Good as new.

Nice!  Laundry is back on, just in time to not leave the house for a month.

It’s so weird that Canada seemed to be keeping a lid on this virus and it sucked down here and now its a complete turnaround?!?

To be fair, these kinds of measures are WHY we are keeping a lid on it.  Unfortunately right now we have a couple of the variants spreading much faster, so it's time to stay home again for a bit to slow it down again.

I got a Covid *fatigue* booster shot today...30yo friend of acquaintance, medically induced coma, on ECMO for a week so far. That conversation was enough for me to pucker up, "Nope, I'm good staying at home." California's numbers are pretty good but there are still a lot of reckless people out there that I'd choose to avoid even without a pandemic.

Not leaving the house for a month means not trip to the cottage for me.  This is bad for the rest of the world.   What makes bad news worse is there is maple syrup waiting for me up there.

oh man.... fresh maple syrup is the best

Should we send a search party looking for Cathy?

Aww, feeling the love.

Glad I set up my card and picks earlier, I would not have been able to multitask on this particular call. I had just opened the browser windows and moved everything around then the phone went off.

 K.  Might need to fiddle with my tv settings.  I've got really clear ice noise, but the commentators are kinda muted

And that's...that's a *bad* thing??

I have two dead dabs surrounding the free square. But it makes a pretty pattern.

So not only have we not beaten the Oilers this year, we've never won the second game of a back-to-back. Great.

Haha, I looked at the head-to-head stats and went with my prediction on that alone. Didn't check the back-to-back stats, just assumed that wouldn't improve things.

At this point, the fact that it's still 0-0 is amazing.
