This is the start of Bab****'s 5th year as leafs coach. It's been that long already?

 Mike Commodore was on Vancouver radio last year and gave some of the best takes on Babkook. Kook is a scumbag is one of the nice things he said

Commodore hates Bab**** at a level on you can understand.  lol

Something about when he signed as a FA with Detroit was told that he would have a role on the team, but only suited up for 17 games. I wonder if he's doing the same with Spezza.

 Did you guys see what Commodore had to say on Twitter about the Spezza thing?

Just looked it up.

@commie22

Folks...Spezza is a very well respected longtime NHL veteran...he signs with his hometown team, has a good camp...playing in Leafs home opener against his former team is a big deal for him...

Bab**** scratches Spezza. Textbook scumbag move from the biggest fraud in the game.

they'll call it a rivalry game to start the season, but you can't help but think the NHL liked the idea of the leafs trouncing the last place team on opening night.

hope the sens disappoint  them.

Zaitzev is the new #22.

First D-man since Jamie Rivers, who played 47 games with the team in the early 2000s

Norm MacIver was the other D-man in the 1st 2 1/2 seasons.

 huh... so no watching #22 break up ice and then miss the net?

Has anyone else noticed how the sports media has avoided criticizing Meldink for the mess he's made of this franchise? All you hear is references to the "rebuild". I suspect they have been ordered not to make critical comments on the issue.

I doubt they are taking orders from euge anymore. But there might be a tentative cease fire happening.
