It's hard to compare Duchene/Stone now to the glory days of Spezza/Heatley/Alfie. The coach could 'need' a goal and put everyone out with Redden and you'd get one. It was incredible. Spezza and Heatley's chemistry was amazing, those no look drop passes actually made sense.

He's by far the most prolific goal scorer Sens ever had.

I was going to say that we should try to collectively find some games to re-watch from the Pizza Line glory days. But then I realized that would probably just be depressing.

OK. Who are the 5 most talented players to have played for the Sens, regardless of how long they actually played here.

Alfie, Hossa, Chara, Spezza and Karlsson.  No Duchene is not more talented than Spezza at his peak, Heatley is no. 6.  Spezza was a point a game player at his height and he and Heatley led the playoffs in scoring in 2007.

Duchene is almost a point a game player, on this crappy team. Imagine if he had the players Jason had. And he’s better defensively than Jezza was.

Where does Bobby Butler fit in?

asking for StooLi

Chara is a first time HOF'er and Duchene and Spezza and Yashin are not.

Chara was more of a physical freak of nature, as opposed to extremely talented.

That's true, he'll just be HOF on the first try.  Duchene could sure turn out to be better, but he still hasn't put in a season better than Spezza's best.  Stone, Heatley and Yashin sure deserve to be mentioned
