I’m telling you Duchene obviously was not well liked in that Avs room and he has brought 0 to his new team especially compared to Turris. You add in 2 first round picks and a 3rd and this has the makings of one of the worst trades in pro sports history. I was never on board w this guy for all that and I think Russell u said it was way too much to.
I was quite clear from the start that given a choice, I would have kept Turris over Duchene. Even in a straight up trade. Stats showed that their offensive numbers were fairly even. But Turris is a solid two way guy who prevents as many goals as he scores. However I understand the free agency thing played a part in the decision. But I think his leaving has up set the chemistry of the team.
