You know what's awesome? I booked tomorrow off work, so now I'm off until Tuesday! Woohoo!!
Ok, I'm on call starting on Monday, but close enough!
I'm off tomorrow, but on call until tomorrow evening. I'm back at work on the 4th.
Must be nice!
Boxing Day isn't even a stat here, so I only get one day off.
Jan 1 and 2 are stat for us, since the 1st is a Sunday, I get the Monday/Tuesday off and all it costs me is 3 days vacation (28-30).
I'm off tomorrow because I'm burning off 4 hours OT from earlier this week. Traditionally they let us go at noon last day before Christmas, so since I have 4 hours I can burn, told them that I'm not coming in.
I miss the days when I worked for a University and got the whole week off....

What is Boxing Day?
Dec 26th. In most of Canada, everyone gets 2 days off for Christmas.
Thx, and what does it mean?
It's based on an old British tradition of boxing up presents/leftovers for the staff and servants. It was their day off after the rich folk made them work on Christmas.
Now it's all about sales... think of it as our version of black friday.
