It’s been nearly two days now and I’m still p#ssed at the Sens. Like most of the hockey world, I don’t care that Ottawa won the game. What happened the other night is beyond worst case scenario. By allowing Matthews to score 4 times, they have fueled the whole Matthews frenzy to levels far above the nauseating over hype we were already being exposed to. I haven’t been able to turn on any sports channel the last two days without being bombarded with blue slime propaganda. Even the PTI guys discussed it. And they almost never mention hockey. Apparently TSN has torn down their Sidney Crosby gold statue and are set to erect a much larger Matthews monument. Did the coaching staff not see the tapes of the world cup tournament? He’s the only dangerous player they have. And apparently no one thought to make sure he was covered everywhere he went on the ice. With two people if necessary. I’m too upset to eat pie now. Or maybe forever.
my money is on the pie winning that battle of wills.

I can't believe we won that game. Big two points for a divisional game. Matthews is incredible. I really wonder if a player can score 90 goals and his team not win a game. Seems to be trending that way
