Why does hockey always sound more exciting in french?

I think it's just that the current crop of english commentators are very monotone

I'm approaching 2 weeks now with this stupid cold

It's not even winter yet...  A lot of people seem to be fighting a cold.

we are already having early flu outbreaks in Calgary this year.  Looking like it's going to be a rough winter this year.

I try to avoid bars/restaurants from fall to spring. Seems like every time I go, I catch a cold.

I also bring my own lunches to work, so prep my own food.

Pretty sure I caught mine on public transit

I bike to work, by the time I'll be taking the bus, I'll be wearing gloves and I keep them on when on the bus.

There's a disturbingly large proportion of people around here that apparently were never taught to cover their mouth when they cough, or their nose when they sneeze.

Maybe cause they don't have to worry about things like that in that cell phone world they live in.

Did you see the opening for the game tonight?

Not me. Been watching off and on. Honestly, not really all that interested.

It just annoyed me.  It was this clip about Gord Downie and The Hip, and how they united the nation behind them.... and it might be JUST LIKE what we were about to watch in this hockey game!

so this is the last time we'll see the world cup of hockey?

Not if Buttman has anything to say about it. To big a cash grab to let it die.
