Have been informed the reason the high sticking call on Subban was rescinded was because a linesman claimed the puck hit pageau not stick.

Somehow the Refs invented a rule where the play is ruled dead even if you are the one that initially plays the puck with a high stick.  So obviously the the hit to the face of Pageau was a deadpuck foul to be assessed on the second leg of the sixth inning.
