A football pitch is larger than a hockey rink. And there's so much diving in footy that it's hard to tell what is a real infraction and what is embellishment. If the premier league wanted to clean that up, they'd take a page from the NHL and start fining and naming players as divers, but make the fines bigger.....say $50k for the first offense and doubling for every subsequent one.

By the way just saw a commercial for the Barclay's Premier League on TSN, if you think the officials are horrid in the NHL they have nothing on the football across the ocean. They miss everything every time it seems to me.
