Aren't you glad we let him go now.

just watched the HNIC replay on NHL.com and Rask actually caught that puck on Phaneuf's first shot and threw it right back out in play instead of playing for a face off. Thank goodness he made that mistake and Phaneuf scored seconds later.

As reticent as referees are to call penalties late in the game I think those referees were doing everything in their minds to look for a tip or deflection of that shot by Chara over the glass.  Even when the one ref saw it go out he didn't call anything

To an extent, I don't like it when OT is decided because of a penalty, but you still have to call the game. Puck over the glass was a dumb penalty for Chara to take so late in the game when it was tied. It's like all those stupid too many men penalties we used to get in spades.

I think we actually asked for it before it happened if I'm not misremembering anything.  Watching on DVR and right before Brassard scored I'm thinking has Brassard did anything positive that I can remember?  Lastly do the Senators hit more posts than any other team in the history of the NHL?

OK, Sens need to score more than just 1 goal. To be more precise, they need to score at least one goal more that Boston does.

actually senior, I'm taking credit...  I was precise in the 1st post of the thread

They'll win today. I have faith. They'll make adjustments. I have a feeling the Brassard/Ryan.. uh.. whoever else was playing with them will have to come through for us.

 *cough* ...never a doubt...?
